Just for you to realize how grossly underpaid you are. The greed of junior programmers asking 5 LPA for 2 years experience looks justifiable.

There are actually people drawing 25 LPA to 35 LPA and even above 35 LPA for my level of experince!!!

Why are companies like MS, Yahoo, Google not in these lists ???

and the list includes Infosys, Wipro, TCS, MBT in top 20 paymasters

DQ list doesn't provide correct picture of paymasters. There are numerous other companis in Bangalore alone which pays better then Candence(#1 in list) are not even in List. If TCS can make it to Paymaster list, then you can understand the authencity of research.

Because those companies and their employees may not participated in the survey. The survey is done only with over 2,850 employees across 32 IT companies. Many of top paying comanies are not participating such surveys, so we may not find those companies in the list.

For a 2004 B.Tech IIT Delhi(Computer science engg) passout Trilogy pays 13 lakhs...

To my knowledge the best paymasters are Trilogy,Google,yahoo.MicroSoft,Cadence,Intel

Google pays<h3>12 Lakhs</h3>per year to freshers.Ofcourse their criterias are too strict.Microsoft too pays heavy and so is Oracle,Yahoo!.One person I know who jumped from Oracle to Microsoft got 40% rise in salary.

From Trilogy(www.trilogy) web site their criterion for selecting junior programers:

1. Education: Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering or Computer Engineering degree from a top university such as IIT, Pune, Anna, BITS.
2. 2+ years of experience, working hands on with C++, Java, J2EE, enterprise class databases (ideally in developing business applications). Must have demonstrated proficiency in more than one of these technologies and demonstrated expertise in at least one technology.
3. Must have extensive experience writing complex algorithms.
4. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

I take that but DQ hasn't surveyed real paymaster companies. They have surveyed few selected companies which they were doing since 3-4 years.
