SAS (Germany headquarter) job offer

Hi,
I just received a job offer from SAS Germany. Now I'm working in Amdocs (Cyprus) and I have 5+ years of experience in software industry (Implementation and Support).

Anyone knows more about SAS? What is the cost of living and the salary expectation in Germany (in these conditions).

Is it a good deal to leave Amdocs for SAS?

(the salary which SAS offer me is 150% of my actual salary)

Germany is I presume surely 50% more expensive than Cypres.
So it comes to same, but...

1. Cypres has nicer climate.
2. Possibility of promotion is probably easier in Cypres
3. More options in Germany (EU as a whole).
4. Personal preferences... what ever does it for you!

If you feel good there and have enough cash, why leave?

First of all congratulations

I do not live in Germany but have friends/family living there. As far as your 150% raise is concerned, I guess the cost of living in Germany would be xxx% higher than Cyprus but cannot get a number here. The cost of living in Germany is less than the UK and nothing compared to Scandinavia. Anyway it all depends on your life style you chose in Germany. If you "want" to save money, you can definitely save more money in Germany than Cyprus. Do not know anyone working in SAS but have never heard/read anything negative about them (at least).
