Hi All,

I have a problem displaying Greek characters in csv file.

The csv file is generated on the server using "Unicode" encoding with the OutstreamWriterObject. The file is generated successfully on the server and can be viewed in notepad. But when we try to download the csv file and open it in MS Excel... It says "The file file is not in a recognizable format.".

I think it has something to do with setting some file headers. Could u suggest some ways of overcoming this problem?? It is very urgent!

Regards

"Me_Asterix",

There aren't may rules that have been put into place here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!
