Hi,
May be this question is silly but please bear with this.
Q.1: Is it possible to run JDK 1.2.2 and 1.3 in the same machine? If so, please give some shed.
Q.2: SUN's documentation shows that J2EE works with JDK 1.2.2 . What about with JDK 1.3? Please tell me more about installation.
Thanks.
Sabbir

Hi sabbir,
Please see our naming policy here ( http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp ) - and re-register with a proper name.
Also, to answer you questions.
Q1: I have always found that it works better to remove the old JDK, before installing a new one. I think Sun also recommends this but I'm not totally sure.
Q2: I am running J2EE with JDK1.3 so yes, it does work. Please see the documentation for installing both items on Sun's site.
Best Regards,
Matt
