We use Sybase Adaptive enterprise server.


Is there any limit on the number of sql queries that can be executed using a batch statement ? Would there be a performance hit if the number of queries exceeds a certain value ?

Yes. We've experienced this on several servers. I think it has to do with memory. We had to experiment to see where the optimal number of queries was.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
