Applet With JDBC

Hi All Ranchers!
I am trying to connect to Database from Applet but it's giving error ClassNotFoundException for JDBC Drivers though i set the classpath for specified driver.I tried TypeI as well as TypeIV.

Could anybody explain what should i do???

Did you "set the classpath" by doing something with the "archive" parameter of the <applet> tag in your HTML? By the way, drivers that require native code are almost impossible to use with applets. Stick to type-4 drivers.

I don't know about archive parameter, I will go for TypeIV.
Could u explain me how set classpath using archive parameter in HTML tag!

Well, I tried with archive tag now exception is changed to java.SecurityAccessControlException now please tell me how to avoide it???

Sachin,

Your applet is trying to access the network through http client (where the applet is running).

You are bound to get security error if you dont Sign your applet

Thanx Deep i done the same before ur post. I create the security permission from policytool then it works fine!!
