Hi,
I am currently working in Accenture India. One year before Accenture was not having many onsite opp so I thought of going to US through one consultancy. After I got my offer and H1B Visa through the consultancy. Now Accenture also started to send our guys to Onsite even for a long term like one or two years. Now I am in a confused state whether to go thru the consultancy or thru accenture. This is my first time to go to US. I like to stay in US for a longer term. Help me to achieve a good decision by sharing your inputs.

Thanks,
Ravi

U answered yourself isnt it. actually it depends on a lot of other things that are going on in your life e.g. family situation. If you are not overly concerned with job security and if you have already received approval my guess is come over.

yes, as deep said if you are not over concerned about job security you can come through the consultany but if you can come over through accenture it is risk free.. you need to consider few things if you decide to come throught consultancy

.Do you have to pay for your travel or will they take care of it ?
.Will they pay you if you are on bench ?
.Initial accomodation , food and other expenses after coming to US.
.Your salary is on percentage basis or fixed salary ?
.Will they provide relocation expenses ? since you will be working as a
consultant you may (may not) have to travel.
.If you are married will they help in getting H4 for your family
.Medical and dental insurance

most of the consultancies wll take care of all these but its always good to make sure. good luck !!

Thanks,
Rajeev
