different between inner join and outer join in MS SQL2000

hi, good day, can someone pls guide me the different between inner join and outer join , when i should them ? any sample will highly appreciated , thank you very much for guidance

Nothing to do with a particular database; inner and outer joins are features of standard SQL, or any language that implements the relational theory of E.F. Codd.
