Hi All,

I have small problem. In SQL how v can retrive the characters without case sensitiveness in Oracle 10g.
my sql is : select name from emp where name like'w%';

but i want upper value and lower value....


anybody help me to solve

Moving to our JDBC forum (which is the best place for a question like this).

You may do something like:

select name from emp where upper(name) like'W%';

but watch out for performances as you won't use any index defined on the name column.
