Hi,

I have a Java application running on Aix 5.3 and sometimes we have the following error message:

"java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: There is no process to read data written to a pipe.
at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java(Compiled Code))
..."

I don't know if this error is related to Oracle or to Aix. Can someone help me on this ? Is this related to threads management on Aix ?

Thanks

Antoiney

"Antoiney D.",

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious. Please note that an initial as a last name is not sufficient.

Thanks!

Although there are database (and even piped streams) questions here in the threads forum, they are at least related to threads. I don't see anything in this question that led you to believe that this is a threads related issue.

So I will move this to the Database forum... as that seems more appropriate.
