Hi all,

I am trying to connect to a Cloudscape database. I am getting a connection, but i am getting a error "Table VENDOR does not exist

do we have some client that will help me peep into the database files to see whether some tables actually exist ?

It probably depends on which Cloudscape version you are running. Here is one possible tool: http://java.sun.com/j2ee/tutorial/1_3-fcs/doc/Tools4.html#64964

The Cloudscape product includes a text-based, interactive tool called ij. (This tool is not supported by Sun Microsystems, Inc.) You can run the ij tool by typing this command:

i tried the tool man..
i did get to see that the tables exist in the database... but when i tried quering -

select * from vendor where username = 'SMITH'

i got '0 rows returned'

the databse directory that i am investigating is from a CD that came with a book..and the book says that all tha tables have data for a user by name smith..

again the problem persists...my IDE still says 'table does not exist'
