Hi D Bang,

If you can look into the documentation given by the database vendor, you would definitely get it. That itself would suffice on how to do with the features supported by the product.

But if you really wanted to read some theory/story behind stored procedures and what are they, why are they, what benefits they give, just google for it. You will get many tutorials.

Your name "D Bang" does NOT seem to be compliant with JavaRanch's naming policies. But i am not sure whether the initial is allowed in place of first letter. I think some bartenders/sheriffs would help us out.

Good luck.

About the naming policy: We do allow an initial as the first name (even though the policy doesn't explicitly say so) so D Bang's name is acceptable. But we prefer that users use a full name instead of just an initial.
