We have an application that I am told is "on a Java platform". We monitor two machines with several safety devices. For record keeping, everything is done on one PC with XP. If a safety device is tripped on either machine, the manufacturers software sends an video signal to the appropriate machine and an audio signal to a speaker by each machine. The video signal goes to the appropriate machine but the audio signal goes to both machines. I am told the audio signal cannot be sent only to the correct machine because of limitations of Java. We want to know if it is possible to split the audio signal. If our software supplier cannot do this, is there someone we can hire to split the audio signal and still use one PC?

John,
Welcome to JavaRanch! Since this isn't about JDBC, let's try to find a more relevant forum so you can get an answer. I'm not sure exactly where that would be. I'm going to with General Computing for now and we can move it again if needed.
