Hi! Welcome to Javaranch!

I used PHP with MySQL, and often run into the confusion of writing proper queries. Will this book help me with MySQL; is there much difference?

thanks!

It absolutely will. It's standard SQL with a slight bias towards MySQL. Most of the book's examples will work cleanly with MySQL.

Thanks! Glad to hear that. Hope I win a copy of the book, but I'll go get it if I don't!

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
