Lynn,

I had a couple of questions about your book. You mentioned in another post you do address some complex topics, but I had some specific questions. Do you address the following topics: procedural SQL, triggers, and user permissions (I know that's a wide range of topics).

Also, do you address working with any specific relational database system? Many have their own little nuances (i.e. wildcard characters may differ and syntax may vary).

Hi Jeff,
I do go through user permissions in great detail, but not triggers or procedural SQL or triggers. As far as syntax, I stick as closely to ANSI SQL as possible, and trust that the reader can pick up a reference book for their specific database. We felt that for the reader, going to a reference to check syntax was far better than us focusing on nuances of syntax at the expense of deeper conceptual learning.
