Hi,
I am doing a program like this in applet with mysql:
if anyone dial a number 121277737 from an extension for ex:5110,the id,status,inbound ,outbound for both these numbers are getting stored in database at the same time.like the following:
Extension Id status inbound outbound
5110 34574.11 up sip/9812 sip/9823
12127773 34574.12 Ring sip/9811 sip/9825
Now i have to retrieve all these datas and have to display like the following:

Extension dialed num
5110 12127773

How could i retrieve the number which is stored in Extension and display it as dialed number.Anybody assist me.

Moving to the JDBC forum, as there seems to be nothing applet-specific about the question.

Note that it's generally considered bad design to use JDBC from within an applet; it also has security implications.

Then where should i display the details like this:
Extension dialed number
5110 1232333

instead of applet?

Well, you were asking about retrieving data from a DB - that's what makes the topic appropriate for this forum.

If you're also wondering about displaying it using a GUI, then that would be a separate question best asked in the AWT/Swing forum. But I see nothing applet-specific here.

Whether a regular web app based on servlets/JSP would be a better fit than an applet (and it may well be) we can't say, because we don't know the circumstances of the application. Generally I wouldn't consider applets just for displaying information, unless there's substantial user interaction and potential for client-side processing.
