Hi ranchers,

Im 25 and studing computer science (M.Sc) in Denmark, EU. I
expect to hand in my master thesis in june. Im specializing
in software architecture. Besides my studies I've worked part
time for the last three years.

Atm. my plan, i.e. my goal, is to (with time) work as team leader/project manager.

The most natural thing to do would be to get a job as S/W engineer
and get some "real" expirience before moving on.. however, I've just
seen an interesting job opening inwhich they seek it-consultants who
has to deal with analysis/design/req. spec./user tests and so on. With
time (they say) the goal is to become a project manager.

This sounds like a job for me, as the "early parts" of the development
phase is what interests me most.. but on the other hand - how can you
become a good project manager if you dont have the "technical bachground"?
And what if I need to get another job in another company - I guess it's
hard to get back into the developer role after having worked as an it-
consultant for a number of years.

Any input?

Thanks in advance,

/Svend Rost
