This is for my friend who is in need of help of others in taking a career decision. He is working for top MNC as a Test Analyst. He is right now in US assignment for the past 1 yr. His project was under budget constraints this quarter and ramping off people to offshore or releasing ppl was going on the past 1 month. He wants to be in US and he started trying for US opportunities through consultancies. He got a offer in Seattle where few of his friends stays now. He was happy to take that offer and as his friends are there in seattle and he like to be there. But his project manager has decided to keep him alone in his team at onsite and release other members in his team and his team should work as 1 member team instead of 5 member team earlier and confirmed his stay till Sep. Now it raises a question, whether to stay in the old project(top MNC) or move to seattle? He is planning to stay in US for 1 year. Then, he is planning to go back India. If he moves to consultancy, what is the possibility of going back India after 1 year? How should he approach? Which one will be right option, Indian MNC or US consultancy?
