Hi All,
I am Anirudha. I have done Be civil. 2004 passout. And currently doing managerial job in Petroleum industry.
I am having government job with good pay package and also number of other benifites. But my job is transferrable. And because of some personal problems i want the job in pune which is not possible in my current company.
So i am thinking of switching to software industry.
So all you JavaRanchers please help me regarding how can i proceed?
please let me know whether software companies will recruite Civil engineers? if yes then which are such companies?
Waiting for respose from all of you.
Thanks in advance
Anirudh, suggest you to stay in present job. If you still want to move IT then work in your present job 4 to 5 years. With that functional experience choose a SAP module like Materil Management, Production Planning then you can try for a job. But I wont suggest you to change your field.

I am Anirudha. Few months back, I asked suggestion in this discussion forum. On which I got above reply from KJ.
Thanks KJ Reddy.

Now I really wish to switch to software industry.
So KJ Reddy would you please guide me on some course in SAP. On completion of which I will get job in software industry.

Suggestions fromothers are also welcomed.
So friends please guide me so that I could swicth to software industry as early as possible.
