Hi All,
I am new to J2ee where I am unable to set the java_home,java_j2ee_home paths properly, I also don't know how to set the path in environmental variables in NT server, I have loaded jsdk1.2.2 and j2sdkee1.2.1 in C drive and unable to set the path properly, I have also opened the batch file of j2ee and deployer tool and said that "set JAVA_HOME=c:\jdk1.2.2\bin" and "set J2EE_HOME=c:\j2ee\bin", but it is still not working, so please kindly help me out here, as I need to upgrade myself within a weeks time.
or mail me at saikumarofbits@yahoo.com
Regards,
Sai

Open a Dos Window.
Set the JAVA_HOME to c:\jdk1.2.2 and not bin
Set the J2EE_HOME to c:\j2ee and again not the bin
In the same window, Start the j2ee server as j2ee -verbose to view what is happening at the server end. (Setting of these env variables have to be done in every other dos window you open)
If you do not start the j2ee server in the same window the variable settings will not take effect.
For permanent setting of the environment variables JAVA_HOME and J2EE_HOME you can go to control panel, system, environment to do this and after setting these, open another and start the j2ee server.
