Does anyone know of any good (read free) load testing tools that I can use to stress-test my application?

I imagine that Sun has a testing tool of some kind, but I'm not sure if it would really be a stress test, as much as it would be a 'compliance' test.

This application uses JSP, servlets, EJB's and helper classes. I'm wondering how it will hold up under hundreds of hits daily (which is the anticipated load).

U can use webstress4 Application tool which can be downloaded.
U can specify the no of users and no of runs(but in the downloadable version the max no of users permitted is 5).

Hi
You could also try Apache JMeter, this will be use full intesting the responce time for the Web Pages, and also for the Database Query, I found it really usefull though I have never used it seriously to test any we site, but you could still have a look at it
