You know what I find frustrating about J2ee? It's that every darn vendor does things their way. Technically, I should be able to pick up things I learned from, say IBM Websphere and hop over to JRun and have no problems -- but I feel like it's learning all over again. I'm curious -- has anyone ever seen a short summary of how to deploy EJB on the different servers and/or things that need to be done to "port" them to various application server platforms? I'm sure this would be useful for a number of people out there who need to work on various platforms from time to time..

Read in a book: The 'containers' have all their own learning curve with respect how to 'deploy'. Your question seems to support this meaning.
