I have developed a CMP bean with Oracle8i as backend. While deploying the bean via J2SDKEE deploytool I selected the option "Create Table On Deploy". The bean works correctly without any problem, but when I check the Oracle8i database the Table name is present but when I give the query "Select * from table_name" it gives the message "Table or view does not exist". But the tables are created with DB2 as the backend. Is there any other setting which needs to be done in CMP with respect to Oracle8i so that the Table actually gets created!!
Venkataramu, The answer is very funny but when you use the J2EE Reference Implementation, with Oracle8i, it creates a table with a name as "TableName" (note the quotes) . So you need to say select * from "TableName". Hope this helps, Sandeep
