i want to display an animation when i enter my home site(each time i open the browser) for the first time. Then moving to diff. links in the same site and coming back to the home page a static gif is to be displayed. When i refresh from the home page animation is to be done.
1) Can i use session cookies ? http://wsabstract.com/javatutors/cookie.shtml
But i am not able to delete cookies or it is not destroyed when the browser window is closed(when more than one window is open at the same time). Can i destroy the cookie in that browser window when it is closed?
2)the window is made of 3 frames of which one is same. So can i declare a variable and depending on its value perform the necessary operation.
its urgent....
I want this to be done in javascript

How did this end up in J2EE and EJB?
Try this...

Seriously though, you may have made a mistake. Javascript and Java are not the same thing. You may want to look at a javascript specific site for this information like http://www.webmonkey.com or http://www.htmlgoodies.com
Hope this helps.
