I am writing a small app to pass objects through JMS messages between users on different machines on a wireless network.
I can get JMS publish/subscribe to work on my standalone machine, simply by setting up a J2EE server, specifying the jms.properties location, and then creating the connection and session through methods (much like the JMS tutorial). All works fine.
I now want to run the J2EE server with clients on different machines. Can I do this by setting the same jms.properties location (i.e. -Djms.properties=machine:c:\.... )?
I don't want to have to set up a full J2EE server if I can avoid it. I'm only interested in passing objects between users on a network.
Any help to this greenhorn much appreciated!
Thanks,
John
