Hi
i've question on providing a web interface to an existing
intranet system. What should we do, when it is needed that an
existing intranet system developed in HTML,PERL,CGI etc.. to
be given a web interface for the internet. is there any proper
architecture according to j2ee, with which we can accomplish
this without changing the existiong code. is it possible to have
a servlet running in a web server, to capture this content and provide it to the web using jsp.
can somebody throw light on this please. i've found this kind
of requirement recently in SCEA part 2 module.
thanks in advance

I'm note sure what this is supposed to mean. The only absolute difference between an Intranet system of the type you're describing and and Internet system is who can connect to it (though in practice, an Internet system should be less trusting and more flexible in what types of clients it can serve).
From that standpoint, there's no need to convert anything from what you have now to J2EE.
It sounds like you don't really understand what J2EE is - you might want to visit http://java.sun.com and read some of their whitepapers. And/or grab a few magazines/books on the subject.
