I am also facing same problem. When I am trying to retrieve BLOB field from Oracle 8i database with Weblogic JDriver using select query,I am getting following exception
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-03115: unsupported network data
type or representation
Is your problem solved? What is the reason to get this exception? Can any one help me?

With regard to the Weblogic Driver, I had the exact same problem, the way I got around it was to use the oracle thin driver. Everything worked fine then.
In weblogic it is possible to create a several connection pools which use different drivers. So I created a different connection pool which I only use for dealing with BLOBs.
Hope this helps !!

Has anybody had any success with Weblogic 5.1 connection pooling using the thin client in the weblogic.properties file?
