Hi All,
A far as i know the callback methods of an EJB are called by the container at the respective actions. But can we call these methods explicitly?
Thanks

If you do, you risk confusing the container, since it won't know what has been done "behind its back" so to speak.
If you're trying for a performance boost, I understand that WebLogic can transparenly "short circuit" this overhead when conditions are right. I can't speak for any of the other systems.

The Java Ranch has thousands of visitors every week, many with surprisingly similar names. To avoid confusion we have a naming convention, which you agreed to when you registered, described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name. Please log in with a new name which meets the requirements.
Thanks.
