Hi,
When designing EJBs and other J2EE components if UML is the best modelling language? Is there any books or articles which talks about this.
Is there any software which does the job

I was more interested in the EJB and J2EE aspect of the UML.
i.e. examples showing J2EE and EJB design diagrams.

Take a look at the Design Patterns, UML, and Refactoring section of The Bunkhouse. There are a couple of books there which you may find useful!! Particularly Enterprise Java with UML

I will see amazon comments on the Enterprise Java with UML book before buying it. Has anyone used it before? If yes is the book worth buying or are there other online resources.
Thanks anyway,
Faisal

Take a look at the design patterns catalog from sun there youre gonna see lots of ejb patterns in uml diagrams. http://java.sun.com/j2ee/blueprints/design_patterns/index.html

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
