Hi:
When you start tomcat server, and set your browser to "http://localhost:8080", you will see a default page for tomcat. If I only start a j2ee server by typing "j2ee" under a dos prompt, is there also a default page? if yes, what is the URL? if no, does this mean j2ee is only a business component server, tomcat is a the web server. There is no overlape between them two, you have to start both of them to test a application component?
Thanks,
Don

If you have a default instalation the url is: http://localhost:8000
and the j2ee server from sun cames with tomcat in it as a web container and also cames with an ejb container, when you start the server with the command j2ee (you should also consider using -verbose for debugging) you start both containers.
