Hi,
A stateful Session bean is used to keep a converstational state
between a client and a server, as the HTTP protocol is stateless.
Using a stateful session been, the EJB is bound to the client during the session.
A stateless session bean is released in the pool after each method call
Just take a look at this link : http://java.sun.com/j2ee/j2sdkee/techdocs/guides/ejb/html/Session3.html
HTH.
