Please help me out as to i m new to the EJB and J2EE field. I m proficient in servlets,jsp and want to work in ejb.
Anyone helping me out sending a small application in ejb as to explain how to go about it.

Why not go to the Sun site and go through the tutorials there. Then you can ask any questions you have after looking at that.

Just to roll you...
An Ejb application consists of the following files (rest you find out yourself):
EJB Remote Interface File ( A Java File ... Compiled to a Class file)
EJB Home Interface File ( A Java File ... Compiled to a Class file)
EJB Bean Class File ( A Java File ... Compiled to a Class file)
ejb-jar.xml ( An XML File ... used as a Deployment Descriptor)
A Client side code ( A Java File .... Compiled to a Class file)
