Hi,
I am new in J2EE.
My HelloWorld-EJB is running correctly, when it is invoked by a simple client.
But when I use a Java-Application the EJB hang up at the .lookup(). No Exception or anything like this.
Is there anything special while using fat-clients???
Please help
Mathias

Well, since it's getting hung up on the lookup(), my guess is that you're not successfully connecting to a JNDI server. If you're just using the default context (e.g. not feeding the InitialContext constructor any parameters) then it could be that you're not starting up inside a client container.
Why don't you post some of your client code, and give us a little more information on what app server you are using, how you are starting the client application, etc...
Hope this helps.
Kyle

Thanx for your help,
last night I fixed the problem.
It was no problem with the InitialContext.
The error was in the classpath. I use Visual Age as IDE. And the automatical generated classpath doesn't work. The classpath I generated myself worked correctly.
But there was no error coming up on the command line.
Question:
Is there any logfile or something similar where I can see errors like this???
