Hi all,
I have just downloaded Forte for Java Enterprise Edition 3.0 and want to run the sun JMS examples through Forte, however i'm getting the following error at runtime:
*JNDI lookup failed: javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name in environment or system property, or as an applet parameter, or in an application resource file: java.naming.factory.initial
which comes from the following code:
* Look up connection factory and queue.If either * does not exist, exit.
queueConnectionFactory = (QueueConnectionFactory)jndiContext.lookup("QueueConnectionFactory");
queue = (Queue) jndiContext.lookup(queueName);
}catch (NamingException e)
System.out.println("JNDI lookup failed: " + e.toString());
However when I run above code from the command prompt everything works fine!! This must mean I haven't configured Forte correctly. So far I have mounted the directory containing my source code and created an instance of the J2EE server(which I can start correctly from Forte).
Has anyone ran these examples through Forte and if so what are the further steps I need to perform??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
