Hi I need some calrification
Can't we do database operations using session bean? why do we need entity beans?
leaving the persistance any other advantage is there with entity bean?

Yes you can do database operations from session beans. In fact, an application I worked on was written without entity beans. But entity beans do provide functionality and can ease the workload.
