public singleton class PropertyManager {

When it comes to design patterns, the Singleton pattern takes the cake. I have used this pattern many times when designing J2EE applications, so it would only make sense to me that Sun should be thinking about defining a keyword in Java to distinguish these types of classes from other types in future JDK releases. Not to mention that it would also be nice to allow the JVM to control the single instrance of a singleton class without you, the programmer, having to use obscure methods and static initializers to accomplish the same task.
hey guys, I'm willing to bet that Sun will implement something very similar to this in the future, just watch!
