Hi All,
EJB 2.0 specification have introduced Local Interfaces. Implementing beans with Local interfaces is said to be beneficial in terms of performances over bean implementation using Remote Interface.
Has anybody conducted any study to check the difference in performance using Local Interface over Remote Interface?
Thanks in Advance.

Not that I'm aware of. However, I'd expect the performance boost to be substantial.
The REASON you'd expect a performance boost, however, is that the local interface cannot be used external to the EJB's VM. So you can't use an EJB cluster server or EJBs on other machines (or even in other servers on the same machine).
For those situations, you'd have to use the remote interface.
