EJBs and paging in data

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hello ,
Need some info abt paging in data using EJBs ..
We have table structures that hold upwards of a million rows. We need to page in this data to the client. Are there any established design patterns that i could refer to ?
If it was JDBC i could have used in the in-built paging classes, How would i do the same using EJBs ?
Also, creating threads in the Appserver has been a very disturbing experience (Using the Oracle Appserver).
Any help/tips would be much appreciated.
thanks
-Vik

Hi Vik,
While I do use and like entity beans, I'm not so sure the infrastructure is going to cope with the quantity of data that you have.
Take a look at some of the J2EE patterns, specifically around data access objects, session facades and value objects.
What does everybody else think?
