I download the J2EE tutorial from Sun. It has some sample applications. But when I tried to use the deploytool to open them, I always received "ear files may be corrupted or can't be read".
Does anybody have any ideas on this problem?
Thanks in advance.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
