Unable to compile EJB 2.0 classes ???

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi,
I have written a bean class() in EJB 1.1 spec. which gives the compile time error.
" EJBLocalObject " - is missing
I have written a bean class() in EJB 2.0 spec. which also gives the compile time error.
" bean class should not be abstract ".
I am compiling these classes in VAJ 4.0.
For the above two cases, what is the modification I have to do in my VAJ 4.o ??
TIA,
N.Ravisankar

Basically, you CANNOT, repeat CANNOT use VAJ to develop for EITHER the EJB 1.1 or the EJB 2.0 specifications. The only level of the spec that works with VAJ is EJB 1.0.
To develop for EJB 1.1, you need to get the successor product to VAJ, WebSphere Studio Application Developer, version 4.0. To develop EJB 2.0, you need version 5.0 of WebSphere Studio Application developer (slated to go out in a public beta in September, for full release in 4Q).

VAJ4.0 supports EJB1.1.
So, you can use the api for ejb1.1 in ejb development.
Please note that the concept of local interface only comes in ejb2.0 which will not work with vaj4.0
