Hi! I created a "lstutils" package (common non-business logic functions like string manipulation, etc.) and tried importing it in my EJB particularly in the Home Interface. Please see the code below:
===============================================
package lstdev;
import javax.ejb.*;
import java.rmi.*;
import lstutils.*;
public interface LoginHome extends EJBHome {
Login create(CookieUtils ckutils,
SYSUtils sysutils,
XMLUtilities xmlutils)
throws RemoteException, CreateException;
}
==============================================
The thing is when I assembled my EJB Module in WebSphere App Server 4.0 Assembly Tool, an error referring to "Login create(CookieUtils ckutils,..." occurred. Importing external package in an EJB is allowed right? Or how should I assemble my EJB to include the lstutils.jar that I need to make use of in the Bean class. Thanks.

This is allowed. Just make sure that your classes are available to the Assembly Tool. I am not sure on what you really need to do here because I don't use WebSphere but I am sure someone else could fill you in. In fact, you might want to post this in the WebSphere forum.
