I am developer that has to take a decision on which technology and architecture to use.
My scenario is that I have to retrieve Xml data (in Mpeg-7 standard, actually) from a Tamino Xml Database, then porting to an open source Xml Database (XIndice) and create a web-interface to the user. An user should query the database and retrieve the xml-compliant-Mpeg-7-desired file and then the audiovisual resource from a Real Server.
I am wondering if for this scenario it is worth using a BMP in which the bean classes query the native XML database rather than doing the same stuff with simple Java classes (implementing my own persistence layer).

Do i have to "bother" Entity Bean? How do they work with native XML Databases? I think it could be useful using the Data Access Object ( do you think?
I am quite new so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks anyway, Fede
