I'm curious to know the budget for an 8+ years experienced person who is having experience in Java/J2EE and a Sun certified java Programmer + developer + architect? More specifically i would like to know the expected salary compensation for a person with above experience in Citibank, Singapore - both contract wise and permanent employment wise.

It depends on how can you bargain and negotiate. I think you may get between S$5K to S$6K /month.

Thanks Anil for the reply. Hope it's same for both contract and permanent staff at citibank. Is there any bonus / variable pay based on performance etc?

How'z the work culture?

Start with a range..insist them to provide you a range.

You should get atleast 80-90K.

Which consultant are you going through or is it perm. If its perm..what is the designation (not role) (Mgr, Sr. manager) etc. Usually 80k+ is the norm I've observed unless you've screwed up your case with the company by quoting less

Thanks for the info. Now i know how much i can roughly quote if demanded.

I'm not sure about the vacancies. Definitely some s/w development with designing skills + leadership skills they are looking for.
