Hi All,
I downloaded the j2sdkee1.4 server and I am trying to access the Duke's bookstore application which comes as an example with the server.
I followed all the directions for the deployment and started the cloudscape and the j2ee server, and when i access the application i am getting the page can not be displayed error.
All the server output logs looks fine.
I am not understanding where I am going wrong , can anybody please help me.

Hi Archana,
Please provide the URL you are trying to access the web application.
I guess that you might have missed the port number where your server is listening. By default HTTP uses port 80, which is been over-rided by the J2EE server. Try adding the port number to ur URL if you have not done so. By default J2EE server uses port 8000.
In my system:
http://localhost:8000/index.html fetches the default page. Since I don't have the demo application I cannot deploy it and verify.
Hope this helps

Hi Vijay
Thank you for the reply.
According to the documentation the J2ee server is running on 8080 and the link I am accessing is
http://localhost:8080/bookstore2/bookstore

Thank you vijay
It works with port 8000
It seems there are many printing mistakes in J2ee tutorial addendum. It clearly says access the server on port 8080.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
