My problem is how to join different tables and filter the data according to selected criteria and return the filtered data using CMP's.
(Similar to have a dynamic SQL statement based on the selection criteria)
My project High level Arch is.
Client (JSP/Swing/WAP) -> UI Layer -> Command Layer -> Domain Layer (session Beans) -> CMP's -> Database.
We need to write this logic in Domain Layer and CMP's.
Which will provide Resultant Value objects to UI Layer.
Suggest me some guide lines to solve this problem. hello_nandu@yahoo.com

The only suggestion I can give is to NOT do this with Entity beans. Entity beans have real problems with joins, and also aren't great at handling multiple different selection criteria. Instead, try using a Data Access Object pattern (read Core J2EE patterns, or the Sun Blueprints).

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
