sterling commerce and AT&T are same company ?

they write "sterling commerce (an AT&T company"

what does it mean ?

please explain ?

It probably means that they are a wholly owned subsidiary.

I was interviewed for 15 mins by their lead architect (or so he claimed)... who got confused between J2EE and J2SE (I bit my lip when he asked me the Q)....the setup looked OK....and I was offered a sal of 9 (exp of 6 yrs) though I possibly did not negotiate,....

Sterling Commerce is AT &T company.Recently they have started operation in Bangalore and are hiring Java people.See yesterday's Times Of India's Ascent.

Sterling Commerce is a subsidary of AT & T company. But their logo is Sterling Commerece An AT & T company.
