I am trying to understand the behaviour of the built in JMS server in J2EE servers. I am trying to understand if JMS is a separate process that needs to talk to container using JNI or something like IPC in java. I am experimenting with WAS and want to know if the built in JMS server runs as a separate process within the container. Thanks
