Hi All,

I realized that I am eligible for HSMP for UK after taking assessment from a popular web site which deals with related issues. Here are few doubts which I would like to clarify:

1. I am having 4 years of experience in J2EE, how are the chances of getting job after going to UK?

2. Am I eligible for Fulltime and Consulting jobs?

3. Can I take my family in case if I am working on contract term, or on hourly basis?

Thanks & Regards,
Surya.

Hi Sai,

The HSMP program is ok but even if you have the supposed points provided as per the calculation it still depends on the actual case workers to allot you points and if your case is not represented and documented correctly then it could go for a toss.
Assuming you do get HSMP:
1. You can work as you want in your field fulltime/part-time/consulting.
2. You can have your immediate family as dependents on HSMP.
3. Current job scenario in UK is a mixed bag. For some technologies there is a high demand here and you can get lots of contracts too. But for some you will struggle.

You need to give yourself a lead time of 2 months at least to settle down and find a job. I do not know of any situation where they have hired people over telephonic interviews in India.

I think you still should be able to make most out of it and best of luck for your HSMP and future endeavours!!

Cheers
Vishal

Thanks Vishal, I will keep the points you mentioned. I agree with you, there must be a buffer time of two months for getting a job.
