Im not able compile the application with weblogic-ejb-jar.xml containing <max-beans-in-cache> element in weblogic 8.1
------------------------------------------------------------------
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE weblogic-ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//BEA Systems, Inc.//DTD WebLogic 8.1.0 EJB//EN" "http://www.bea.com/servers/wls810/dtd/weblogic-ejb-jar.dtd">
<weblogic-ejb-jar>
<weblogic-enterprise-bean>
<ejb-name>Count</ejb-name>
<jndi-name>CountHome</jndi-name>
<stateful-session-descriptor>
<stateful-session-cache>
<max-beans-in-cache>2</max-beans-in-cache>
</stateful-session-cache>
</stateful-session-descriptor>
</weblogic-enterprise-bean>
</weblogic-ejb-jar>
------------------------------------------------------------------
The compiler is not recognising <<max-beans-in-cache> and <stateful-session-cache> as valid elements.
Thanks

The referred weblogic-ejb-jar.dtd specifies that jndi-name should come after the stateful-session-descriptor. Try again after fixing that.

The xml file looks fine. Checked the weblogic 8.1 docs as well. Can you paste the exaxt error the deploy tool has generated.

Lasse is correct, ordering is the answer here. Anyways... I replied to this same question in the WebLogic Forum before seeing it here. Therefore, I am going to lock this thread and any further discussion should be posted here.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
