JNDI Lookup Timeout

Hi,
I am working Weblogic 6.1 SP1. When i am doing a jndi lookup for a external ejb, i need to set a look up time out. Please let me know how can i set the timeout for ejb lookup using JNDI

It's possible for some vendors (Sun, for example) but I don't know how to do that for WebLogic Server.

I have read all weblogic docs and haven't come across any such feature.

Here is a link to weblogic jndi apis and I could not find timeout feature. I can almost say that it is not supported.

Does Weblogic "8.1" have any property to set up look up timeout?
